There are a few things that get me really excited; shopping for school/office supplies is one of those things. There's something wonderful about buying fresh notebooks. It's like they're just waiting to be filled up with ideas and facts and information, and things that you want to think about. I get the same giddy feeling about empty boxes; they're just waiting to be filled, or made into something else.
I think, it's their potential that excites me. Not to mention that there are so many options to choose from. It's like, whatever your interests and needs, there's a notebook that fits. It's wonderful!
I always get this glow when I'm buying office supplies. Tonight, I got excited, and almost bought a filing cabinet. If I had had a place to put it, and an extra $30, I would currently be happily filing last semester's work, to make room for this summer's additions. Instead, I think I'll end up getting a smaller box, which will be more portable. (And is 1/3 of the price, a detail that did not go unnoticed.)
I am so happy that I get to buy another notebook before I'm done for the summer. There's just something so nice about getting to go school shopping more than once! Whoohoo!
